Bremerton Boys Basketball Honored at Washington State Capitol
On Monday, April 21, the Bremerton High School Boys Basketball program was formally recognized at the Washington State Capitol by Deputy Speaker of the House, Representative Tarra Simmons. Athletes, coaches, the athletic director, and school administrators were honored on the House floor, received a brief tour of the Capitol, and had the opportunity to meet privately with Representative Simmons in her office. She shared her inspiring life story and spoke with the athletes about the value of education and the importance of leaning on the support systems around them. Representative Simmons stands as a powerful example of courage, perseverance, and determination.
