Need SAT Scores for College and Beyond? 📝

Now is the time to sign up for the SAT test! Many four year colleges require SAT scores for admission. If you are planning on attending college, it's a good idea to take the SAT test and explore colleges that are the best fit for you.

BHS only offers the SAT once per year. This year's test date is April 25th. This test is most commonly taken in 11th grade but 9th and 10th graders are also welcome. The cost is $60 or $22 for students who qualify for an income-based waiver. Income-based waivers are only available in grades 11 and 12. To sign up, bring your payment to the main office no later than April 15th. For more information, contact Mr. Swanson at chris.swanson@bremertonschools.org

Feeling Burned out? 💤

This is the time of the year when academic burnout can sneak up, see below for ways to combat the fatigue and finish the school year strong! Courtesy of the University of Georgia:

1. Make Time for Enjoyable Activities:

Schedule yourself breaks throughout the week. Allow yourself to have time where you can truly rest and do things you enjoy. You will start to feel more motivated to start your school days.

2. Get Plenty of Physical Exercise:

Try to exercise at least three times a week, stay hydrated and eat healthy to keep your mind and body active and healthy.

3. Get Outside:

Studies have shown that time spent in nature can reduce stress levels so spend some of your free time in some greenery!

4. Make Time for Social Activities:

Not only do friends and family provide you with a positive support system, but time spent in fun social environments will make you happier and give your mind a break.

Remember, BSD also has great mental health resources if you need additional support! See below for links to Gaggle Teletherapy and Peninsula Community Health Services.
