The Bremerton School District is opening 3 hours late Friday, February 7, 2025

Due to very low temperatures and anticipated icy road conditions following today's snow melt, Bremerton School District schools will have a three-hour delayed start on Friday, February 7, 2025.

The extra hour will provide additional time for road conditions to improve as temperatures are expected to rise by midday.
Tomorrow:
  • All schools will start three hours late (see school hours below).
  • Schools will end at the regularly scheduled time (see school hours below).
  • Buses will operate on regular routes but arrive three hours later than their regular stop time.
  • No out-of-district transportation.
  • Breakfast will not be served at any school.
  • Lunch will be provided.
  • After-school sports and activities will be held as scheduled unless otherwise communicated by the coach, school or district. Please watch ParentSquare and the District website for updates.
School hours for Friday, February 7, 2025
  • Bremerton High School: 10:30 a.m. - 2:10 p.m. (See bell schedule)
  • Mountain View Middle School: 11:10 a.m. - 2:50 p.m. (See bell schedule)
  • Elementary Schools: 12:05 p.m. - 3:35 p.m.
  • No morning or afternoon PreK.
  • West Sound Technical Skills Center (WST): No morning session. Afternoon session on regular schedule. Transportation from BHS to WST provided.

Bremerton School District leadership puts a lot of time and effort into making decisions about delaying or closing schools due to inclement weather conditions. Each time a decision has to be made, many different interests and issues are taken into consideration but our top priority is always the safety of our students and staff.
