Graduation events & photos
All of these photographs taken at graduation events by the District photographer are available for all students and families to view and download at no cost. If you have photos you’d like to share, please email them to Communications@BremertonSchools.org.
Individual graduation photos are also available for purchase from LifeTouch.
Important information for seniors and their families

Senior Class meetings: Seniors will meet regularly in the spring to review all the graduation details and expectations. Please see the calendar below for the dates/times for Senior Class meetings and contact Heather Roossein with any question.

Yearbook photos must be submitted via emaiml to jay.montgomery@bremertonschools.org by February 18. If the deadline has passed, please contact Mr. Montgomery to see if changes can still be made.

In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, a student must have successfully completed all requirements for graduation by the end of the school day on Wednesday, June 11.
- 24 credits earned
- Senior Portfolio Presentation completed
- High School and Beyond Plan completed
- Credit make-up alternatives: Both Drawbridge and Apex are offered for seniors to complete coursework in order to earn credit in required classes. See your counselor for more information.
- Fines and fees: In order to walk at graduation, all fines and fees must be paid by senior check-out on Wednesday, June 11. Fines and fees can be paid at the BHS finance window or online through Skyward Family Access.

Seniors will check out on Wednesday, June 11th. To expedite the checkout process, students may return materials and pay for fines and fees prior to checkout day.
- Seniors should report to their first period class as normal, and are expected to attend all classes when they are not actively in the check out process.
- Students will be called to the BHS Commons by alphabet. Running Start students may come to the commons anytime after 7 a.m.
- During the checkout process, students will:
- Turn in materials including textbooks, Chromebooks, and Chromebook chargers.
- Pay all fines and/or fees.
- Verify that their checkout form is complete.
- 15 minutes before the end of the day we will release seniors to come receive their first rehearsal ticket.

The Senior Parade is Wednesday, June 11 from 11:35 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
After check-out, seniors and senior parents can drive through the back of the school while students and staff celebrate our graduates. Seniors are encouraged to wear your cap and gown and decorate vehicles. Students can also walk the parade route.

Graduation rehearsals are mandatory! Students must be on time and complete both of the entire graduation rehearsals in order to participate in the evening graduation ceremony.
- Rehearsal #1: Thursday, June 12 at 10 a.m. (following the Moving-Up Assembly in the gym)
- Rehearsal #2: Friday, June 13 at 8 a.m.
Rehearsal tickets: Students must have their rehearsal tickets for both practices. The ticket is the students’ entrance into rehearsal.- Rehearsal Ticket #1: Will be given when they turn in their checkout form on June 11th
- Rehearsal Ticket #2: Will be given at the end of Grad rehearsal #
Thursday, June 12- Moving-Up assembly / Graduation rehearsal #1 – 10 a.m.
- GradWalk (optional) – 12:25-1:45 p.m. Immediately following graduation rehearsal, graduates are invited to have pizza in the Senior Commons before boarding school buses to visit elementary and middle schools. Students must wear cap and gown (sign-up required).
Friday, June 13- Senior Breakfast – 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
- Graduation rehearsal #2 – 8:00 a.m. (will begin in the BHS Commons
- Seniors need to report to the gym at 5:30PM for the class picture.
- After pictures, students are free to meet with families. Families and guests are not permitted in the gym.
- Seniors need to report to their walking line position at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Do NOT be late.
Students who do not participate in both rehearsals will not walk in the graduation ceremony.

Grad Walk is Thursday, June 12 from noon – 1:30 p.m.
All BHS and RHS seniors are invited to take a walk down memory lane during Grad Walk! Grad Walk starts off with pizza in the Commons at noon, provided by Bremerton Secondary PTA. At 12:25, students board school buses to go to Mountain View Middle School, and then each bus heads to one elementary school before returning to BHS at 1:30. Students will be greeted-and celebrated-by school students and staff at each school!
Students must sign-up in advance and permission slips are required. More information coming soon!

Graduates will pick up their diploma in the Counseling Center on Monday, June 16 from 9:00AM-2:00PM. Diplomas can only be released to the student whose name is on the diploma. Students will enter through the Welcome Center to pick up their diploma. Since school is still in session for the underclassmen, graduates are not permitted on campus after graduation day except to pick up their diploma.

Baccalaureate, an optional event for seniors and their families, is sponsored by Bremerton Secondary PTA. All graduates are invited to participate and all family, friends, staff and community members are invited to attend.
Graduates should arrive by 4:45 in their cap and gown. Refreshments will be served afterward. The event will be done in time for the BHS band concert.

May 16: Knighting Ceremony at 9:30 a.m. in the PAC. Parents of Knighted Seniors will be contacted the night before and invited to the ceremony. Please keep it secret for the ceremony.
May 19: Senior Signing Assembly (whole-school assembly during Knight Skills)
May 21: AVID Night/ML Promotion from 5-7 p.m. in the PAC
May 30: Department Awards (whole-school assembly during Knight Skills)
June 7: Prom at 7 p.m. at Admiral Theatre
June 9 & 10: Senior Finals (June 9 – periods 1, 3, 5; June 10 – periods 2, 4, 6)
